The whole operation sounds like something the fictional Clark and Chavez leading a very small Rainbow Six unit from a Tom Clancy novel would do. :)

lol so true. More supposed info leaking out...

This was a helicopter raid conducted by a small team of special forces. There were allegedly ISI personnel on the ground with our special forces. Zadari was contacted to give safe transit of the helicopter team.

well, im only 17 and .223 is just to expensive for me to shoot...

and I dont know why I like the sig so much, I was at gander mountain the other day, and was feeling out all of the other .22's and it just feels the best to me...

it's going to be ether the sig, or the smith and wesson M&P 15-22. that is a nice gun also...

The .223 is pretty cheap to shoot if you buy bulk ammo. You can get 500 rounds for less than $150.

The Vista EULA has been modified, presumably to relax the restrictions on reinstalling Vista and upgrading hardware... No changes to the limitations on virtualization for Home Basic and Home Premuim.

In general, the staff at most retail and restaurant chains are taught to notify the authorities and not get involved. Violating this policy can and will get you fired at best, or killed at worst.

They look the same to me in the picture. The white one is tipped slightly so that you see the front face surface a little. I think this makes the difference in appearance.

I did that but it still does not work. I rebooted my macbook, installed the latest security updates, wiped my 3GS, tried restoring and then updating to 4.3.2 - same thing just happened.

I fixed it on my end - it was my work's firewall. The wired internet is firewalled really hardcore, but the wifi is not - it verified on the wifi. If you're still having issues, maybe it's your work's firewall or your own.

iOS 5 at WWDC and new iPhone hardware at an apple special event in September. You heard it here first.

ugh. i always laugh at anyone who ends their 'predictions' with "you heard it here first", 'cause they nearly always end up being the most inaccurate.

Couldn't find my old copy of the first game and been wanting a time-waster so I splurged and spent $5 on it in the discount bin. Get to play the sequels now too!

    Wat? $5????!!

That is by far my fav gaming franchise.

It seems like a major problem with this would be the fact that you get no tactile feedback. However, I have tapping enabled on my iBook and I don't find it odd or uncomfortable at all then I "click" on something. I'm sure it would take some getting used to, but I imagine that it could work.

The 3G iPod did not have physical feedback, and they worked.

But the problem here is everyone is assuming that none-touch means you don't even touch the iPod. Did it occur to anyone that it means you don't have to touch the screen? This allows Apple to put a more durable transparent cover over the entire face of the iPod.

Think about it - a nice smooth seamless iPod face. When you put your finger over the display, the controls appear. Your finger touches the cover, but not the screen underneath. This allows for easy cleaning, and protection of the actual screen.

I don't quite understand this... as people use their iPhones on T-Mobile jailbroken all the time. How could AT&T iPhones work on T-Mobile now if they need different hardware???

I'll say this one last time. Flash is not an app! It's a method of delivering content on a web site.

If there were not Flash applications, then Adobe would not have developed and released its Packager for iPhone (

Flash is also a way to deliver video. The Skyfire App ( is a way for iOS users to view those legacy Flash videos. When sites update their video to be HTML compliant, bridging services like Skyfire will no longer be needed for that conversion.

Finally, as you note, Flash is also a way to deliver web content.

You cannot make iOS "apps" to replace a web page dude.

Why not? That sounds like the exact purpose of Adobe's new packager tool.

As long as there are Flash only web sites, there will be a demand for Flash plugins.

Users of the 120M+ iOS devices are doing just fine without Flash plugins.

As long as websites serve up some or all of their content solely through Flash, they will be shut out from users on those iOS devices. Adobe recognizes this shortcoming in Flash and is rapidly developing a Flash to HTML5 converter (

Here's what Adobe blogged about that ( after a demo at their Adobe MAX 2010 conference in October:

How could I create rich experiences that run on desktops (where Flash is the obvious, consistent (cross-browser/-platform) choice) and on iOS devices where Flash isnt allowed? Id have to create two versions of a everythingone Flash, and one HTML5*. Good luck getting clients to double their budgets, though, and yet they dont want richness cut in half.

So, the opportunity: Cut the cost of targeting multiple runtimes & well deliver real wins: more richness for clients, and a competitive advantage for customers. [...]

Adobe lives or dies by its ability to help customers solve real problems. That means putting pragmatism ahead of ideology.

Once a website has gone through the process of serving up HTML5, why bother serving up Flash to anybody? This tool will continue to lessen the need for Flash on the browser for everybody.

This Skyfire app is proof of that.

Not exactly. Skyfire is not optimal for iPhone users, because videos they request have to go through Skyfire's servers for conversion. It's also not a complete solution for websites, because only a fraction of the iOS users will purchase the Skyfire app. Skyfire functions as a bridging app to give websites access to iOS users until they convert their video inventory to HTML5.

I won't bother arguing anymore about the other things as it's a complete waste of my time.

    That would be good.

Ironically, Adobe's new conversion tools will accelerate the demise of Flash on the web.

Yes, the iPhone does compete against Android. The last time I went into a AT&T or Verizon store, this was obvious. To say that the iPhone does not compete against Android is silly.

Silly how? iPhone is a hardware and Android is an OS. This is apple v.s. meat. It's not even fruit v.s. fruit

.... Again, the article was about the iPhone vs. Andriod handset sales, not the tablet sales. Another Straw Man approach to a comment about iPhone handset sales.

When your sales numbers for phones are ~50% of that of your competitor; whereas a few years ago they were barely a blip, then yes that means they are getting kicked in the teeth in handset OS sales.

Since you are talking about "sale". Can you list any Androids device that outsell the iPhone?
---->>>>>>> Buy one get one free --> only 1 device make money, the second is free. So, for 100 Androids devices got on the customers' hand, only 50 of them are "sold".

Walked to the mall while snowed in the other day and did a bit of shopping.

Some cheap jewelry at Laila Rowe.

Hit up H&M. Casual and business. I really love the jacket... pic doesn't do it justice.

    New kicks at vans

The best coffee Starbucks makes by far, which is quite delicious.

Placed an order for some more work polos at AE to use my gift card. I mean, let's face it, if you can wear polos at work, it beats the hell out of oxfords.

And this brush at Sephora. I was going to get a new eye shadow shade, but I couldn't see spending $60 on two items since brushes are so expensive.
